North Korea cancels high-level talks with South Korea over leaflets
According to AFP, North Korean state media said on October 11 that the country had canceled high-level talks with South Korea due to Seoul's dropping of anti-Pyongyang leaflets the day before.
“Due to the irresponsible and provocative actions of the puppet regime... the previously scheduled summit meeting has been canceled. The future of inter-Korean relations entirely depends on the attitude of the South Korean puppet regime,” North Korea’s official website Uriminzokkiri said.

On October 10, the two Koreas had a fierce gunfight across the border, stemming from the North Korean army's attempt to shoot down balloons carrying leaflets from South Korean activists.
A week earlier, North Korea and South Korea agreed to resume formal high-level dialogue, which had been suspended for the past seven months./.
