North Korea marks 2nd anniversary of Kim Jong-Il's death
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un on December 17 presided over a ceremony to commemorate the second anniversary of the death of his father, the late leader Kim Jong-Il, an event broadcast live on the country's television.
Television footage showed Kim Jong-Un entering a hall in Pyongyang with thousands of senior officers, government officials and the Workers' Party of Korea.

The ceremony began with a speech by state council chairman Kim Yong-Nam.
“Two years have passed since the great leader Kim Jong-Il suddenly left us,” Kim Yong-Nam read with emotion.
