The latest market statistics from NetMarketShare show that Google Chrome is gaining market share at a rapid pace, while Microsoft's Edge browser is growing very slowly, which is in line with previous reports. The remaining browsers' market shares have not changed much.

NetMarketShare's report shows that Google Chrome grew just 0.11% month-over-month, and now holds 58.64%. Previously, the browser almost always showed at least a 0.5% increase after each statistical cycle.

Internet Explorer's market share, on the other hand, fell to 18.95% - down 0.22%. Microsoft Edge had a market share of 5.61% compared to 5.55% last month.

Mozilla Firefox saw a slight increase, now accounting for 11.79% of the desktop market. However, Apple's Safari fell to 3.37% from 3.45% last month. The remaining browsers, including Opera and other brands, remained at 1.62%.

It’s important to note that most of the recent changes in market share are very small and within the margin of error. Ultimately, it also solidifies Google Chrome’s position as the leading browser, with Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge trailing far behind.

In terms of operating system market share, Windows 7 has been holding close to 50% market share for some time now and is slowly approaching that statistic. Windows 10, which fell 0.1% last month, has increased 0.17% year-over-year, bringing its market share to 25.36%.

Windows XP has seen a steady decline over the past two months, now holding 7.44% of the market, while Windows 8.1 stands at 6.66%. Looking at the overall picture, Microsoft is losing market share. The total market share of Windows versions has dropped to 91.59%, Apple's MacOS has made some progress recently, reaching 3.22% market share.
