Introducing a special stamp set about Trang An scenic complex

The stamp set “Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - World Cultural and Natural Heritage” is designed in a realistic style, depicting typical activities and landscapes of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex such as the Water Procession Festival to King Dinh Tien Hoang Temple; the scene on Ngo Dong River - the waterway to Tam Coc - Bich Dong Cave; Dark Cave.

The above information was given at the special issuance ceremony of the above postage stamp set, jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam Post Corporation and Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee on January 23, 2015.

This event took place on the occasion of the UNESCO Certificate Reception Ceremony recognizing Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

The stamp set includes 3 stamps and 1 block designed by artists Nguyen Du and Do Lenh Tuan (Vietnam Post) with a size of 62x24mm, closely following the criteria of culture, aesthetic beauty and geology-geomorphology of the relic site.

In particular, the 3 stamp designs not only reflect the beautiful natural landscape with majestic mountains, mysterious caves and sacred temples and pagodas, but also clearly demonstrate the interaction between humans and the environment, human adaptation to changing conditions of climate, geography, etc. The stamp set will be available on the public postal network from the time of launch until December 31, 2016.
