Avoiding paying road use fees can result in a fine of up to 50 million VND.
For fraudulent acts and evasion of paying road use fees per vehicle, the minimum fine is 6 million VND and the maximum is 50 million VND.
The Ministry of Finance is seeking comments on the Draft Decree amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 109/2013/ND-CP dated September 24, 2013 regulating administrative sanctions for violations in the field of Price, Fee, Charge and Invoice management.

According to this draft, for acts of fraud and evasion of road use fees per vehicle, the fine can be from 1 to 3 times the amount of the fraudulent fee or evasion according to regulations. The minimum fine is 6 million VND, the maximum fine is 50 million VND.
Also according to the draft, regarding violations of regulations on price registration and declaration of prices of goods and services, this Draft Decree also stipulates many other fines for violations. In particular, a fine of 10 to 15 million VND will be imposed for the act of applying declared prices not within the prescribed time limit from the date of price declaration to the competent state agency.
A fine of 20 to 25 million VND shall be imposed for the act of arbitrarily increasing prices according to the prices declared to competent state agencies in cases where the competent state agencies have issued a written request for explanation but the organization or individual has not yet completed the explanation of the declared price.
In particular, a fine of 30 - 35 million VND will be imposed on the act of arbitrarily increasing prices according to the prices declared to competent state agencies in cases where competent state agencies have requested to suspend the application of new prices and requested to re-declare the prices./.
