In 3 days, more than 70,000 people visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

On May 2, the Quang Binh Border Guard Command said that during the holidays of April 30, May 1 and May 2, more than 70,000 pilgrims visited the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island (Quang Dong, Quang Trach, Quang Binh).

According to SGGP reporters in the Vung Chua area, the line of people stretched for kilometers, including more than 20,000 visitors on April 30, more than 30,000 visitors on May 1, and more than 20,000 visitors on May 2. The Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province as well as related departments and volunteers of Ba Don Town Union, Quang Trach district have increased their forces, standing by at many locations and guiding pilgrims in a thoughtful and attentive manner.

* On the morning of May 2, at the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap (Vung Chua - Yen Island, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province), the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held an inauguration ceremony for a clean water pipeline to the tomb of the General.

The project to build a clean water pipeline to the General's tomb was invested by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association with a total cost of 1.3 billion VND, mobilized and supported by 31 Young Entrepreneurs Associations of provinces, cities, industries and young entrepreneurs. After 2 months of active construction, the project was completed, meeting the demand for clean water supply for daily life in the General's tomb. The project includes two items: construction and repair of items from the water supply point of Hon La Water Plant - Quang Kim, Quang Phu, Quang Dong area to the beginning of the road to the General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb; construction of a 2.2km pipeline from the road to the General's tomb and construction of 2 water tanks.
