How to incubate: Choose ginger with old leaves, large roots, shiny skin, no shrinkage, and no pests. To make the ginger sprout evenly, you need to incubate the ginger first.

Do not use a knife, but use your hands to separate the branches. After separating, dip them in Topsin or Dithane solution with a dosage of 200g diluted with 50 liters of water, soak for about 15 minutes, remove and drain. After a week, incubate, spread a layer of rice husk ash 10 - 20 cm thick, then arrange the ginger in a pile 20 - 30 cm high, cover with a layer of straw, and water sufficiently. Incubate for about 10 - 15 days, the ginger will sprout and then be planted.

How to plant: Use a clean cement bag (or a plastic bag or a bamboo basket...) with 6 holes punched in the bottom of the bag. Mix rice husks, soil, and fertilizer in a ratio of 4 rice husks + 1 soil + 1 decomposed manure, then put it in the bag. After the ginger seedlings have sprouted, they are transplanted into the bag. Just water and fertilize twice. The first time, 30 - 45 days before planting. Add 1 spoon of NPK fertilizer around the base of each ginger bag. Then add a layer of organic matter about 20 cm thick with a ratio of 1 decomposed manure + 1 soil + 3 rice husks. The second time, 60 days after the first fertilization. Add 1 spoon of NPK fertilizer around the base of each bag. Then add a mixture of organic matter to the bag with a ratio of 1 decomposed manure + 1 soil + 4 rice husks.

Any bag with pests can be easily isolated to prevent the spread. Ginger bags can be placed on the ground or on trellises, shelves, under trees, along walkways. Especially easy to move when necessary to avoid adverse weather conditions (floods, drought). Normally, each ginger root when planted only sprouts 3-4 branches, but when planted in bags, ginger sprouts many branches. Each branch is a ginger root, after 7-8 months, you can harvest 1.5-2 kg of roots/bag.

The total initial investment cost for a bag of ginger is less than 2,000 VND, earning 15,000 VND. It turns out that the efficiency of growing ginger in bags is 8 times higher than the usual way of growing.
