Trong Hieu is expected to win the title of Vietnam Idol.

The overseas Vietnamese guy has more opportunities than his opponent Bich Ngoc with advantages in performance style and musical thinking.

On the evening of August 2, the champion of Vietnam Idol 2015 will find its owner in a gala night in Ho Chi Minh City. The Top 2 of this year's program are Bich Ngoc and Trong Hieu.

In the final night that took place last weekend, the audience's vote percentage for Trong Hieu was slightly higher than Bich Ngoc's with a ratio of 56-44. Judge Quang Dung said that this ratio reflected quite accurately what he saw. Judge Thu Minh said that she would text both of them, but she also favored Trong Hieu because he had enough qualities to represent the generation of Vietnamese singers integrating with the international community. In terms of stage performance style, the Vietnamese-American guy clearly has an advantage over his opponent. Trong Hieu's appearance and modern fashion sense are close to the image of British and American music stars. With a gentle and charming way of speaking, Trong Hieu attracted fans from the first episodes of Vietnam Idol. Bich Ngoc has not been able to do this. The female singer is said to not stand out in terms of appearance and does not have a stable fashion sense. Some of Bich Ngoc's outfits are even classified as "disasters" because they clearly show her physical flaws. Thu Minh once advised the female singer to find a stylist for herself.

The deeper he goes, the more Trong Hieu proves himself to be a professional artist with a systematic strategy. Coming from a dancer background, the Vietnamese-American man possesses the advantage of musicality and knows how to liberate his body. Each of his performances is always full of energy and attracts both the audience and the judges. Thu Minh admits that she always has to stand up and dance with Trong Hieu. Music producer Mark Walton is surprised by the artist in this contestant's blood. Thanh Bui affirms that Trong Hieu has all the qualities to become a music star.

"Trong Hieu's sensitivity and artistry are things that not many singers have," said director Nguyen Quang Dung. He sees him as a bright spot in Vietnam Idol this year and hopes that the following seasons will find similar "gems". Trong Hieu's case is reminiscent of previous seasons of the Idol Search, when audiences tended to show more affection to those who inspired them. Ya Suy's surprise victory over Hoang Quyen in 2012 is an example.
