Thanks to positive solutions, the growth rate of the agricultural sector in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 4.33%, the economic structure within the sector continues to shift in the right direction, the proportion of livestock farming has increased quite a bit. Currently, the total herd of buffalo and cattle in the province is estimated at 672,770, the herd of pigs and poultry have both increased compared to the same period in 2012. The total area of ​​annual winter-spring crops reached 229,454 hectares, an increase of 1.3% compared to the same period last year. The work of planting, caring for and protecting forests has also been focused. Up to now, the total area of ​​concentrated forest planting is estimated at nearly 8,400 hectares, reaching 55.4% of the plan, and scattered forest planting reached 4.5 million trees (90% of the plan). Some other indicators all achieved quite well, such as the total aquaculture area is estimated at nearly 20 thousand hectares, the total output is estimated at 76,184 tons, an increase of 7.29% over the same period, mainly increasing in the exploitation part.

At the conference to review the first 6 months of the year, after discussion, delegates agreed that some targets would be difficult to achieve, such as rubber planting area, total cattle herd, etc. The conference proposed a number of solutions to achieve the development targets of the agricultural sector such as: Focusing on directing the summer-autumn crop, preparing the best conditions for winter-spring crop production; preparing enough seedlings and other conditions to plant 800 hectares of new tea and 1,500 hectares of rubber trees. Focusing on directing the development of concentrated livestock farming, high-tech farm and family farming, introducing new varieties with high productivity, quality, and disease-free into production, ensuring disease safety and food hygiene and safety.
