In response to a question about the FBI's investigation into the relationship between the US President's campaign team and Russia, Donald Trump denied that he wanted the FBI investigation to end. "In fact, I want the investigation to be further intensified," the US President emphasized.
President Donald Trump also said that firing FBI Director James Comey was not his attempt to interfere with the current legal process.
The White House boss affirmed that firing Comey was his own decision, not influenced by anyone. "The FBI has become a mess. I fired Comey, that was my decision" - the US President declared.
"If Russia or anyone else tries to interfere in America's choices, that's a terrible thing. The investigation must go to the bottom to make sure that this can never happen again in America," Mr. Trump affirmed.
In the interview, President Trump flatly denied that he and his campaign team were involved in “secret cooperation with the Russians” during the election late last year. And “the Russians did not influence the vote (in the US), and everyone seems to think so,” Mr. Trump emphasized.
