Displaying 250 documents affirming that Hoang Sa and Truong Sa belong to Vietnam

On the morning of October 3, Ho Chi Minh City Museum organized a thematic exhibition "Hoang Sa and Truong Sa - Vietnam's sea and islands".

Over 250 documents, maps, images and artifacts were researched, selected and displayed to highlight the three main themes of the exhibition: Hoang Sa and Truong Sa through map documents; Protecting Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands; Hoang Sa and Truong Sa today.

In particular, this exhibition also introduces artifacts of the soldiers of ship HQ 604 of Brigade 125 who sacrificed their lives in the event of protecting Gac Ma island on March 14, 1988. The rare remaining souvenirs of the brave soldiers, such as: torn pants, sandals found under the sea covered with shells...

In addition, newly collected artifacts and images reflecting the activities of people nationwide towards the sea and islands; publications and songs written about the sea and islands by many musicians... are also introduced at the exhibition.

Visiting the exhibition, Mr. Le Hoan Hung, in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai said: "I find the images and documents displayed today very rich, clear, and complete about Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands, demonstrating the people's trust in Vietnam's sacred territory"./.
