(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the campaign to build traffic and irrigation works launched by Do Luong district, 200 officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 - Division 324 helped people in the mountainous commune of Hong Son build irrigation works in the fields.

This time, the People's Committee of Hong Son commune launched a campaign to build long-term irrigation works earlier than every year. The commune mobilized forces throughout the commune, organized propaganda to Party members and people. This irrigation campaign was divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 from September 15, 2014 to October 15, 2014, mainly focused on building embankments, field embankments, and internal traffic channels associated with land consolidation and exchange; the commune dug and built 35,100m3 of internal traffic, 1,750m3 of irrigation systems, dredged 1,150m3 of canals, and repaired nearly 2km of concrete canals. During the campaign, officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 - Division 324 helped people of Hong Son commune dig and build the internal traffic system. This is one of many campaigns that officers and soldiers of Regiment 1 have actively participated in, joining hands with the people to build new rural areas. Thereby contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, at the same time demonstrating the spirit and responsibility in helping people overcome the consequences of floods to restore production and stabilize their lives.
