China may build more military bases abroad
The US Department of Defense believes that China is likely to establish additional military bases in Pakistan.

The US Department of Defense's annual report to Congress on June 6 said China may build more military bases abroad, after Beijing completed construction of the facility in Djibouti, according to Reuters.
The Pentagon believes that China will certainly seek to open more bases in countries with long-standing close relations and shared strategic interests, such as Pakistan.China's main arms export market in the Asia-Pacific.
Meanwhile, Djibouti's location on the northwestern edge of the Indian Ocean has India concerned that the country will become a link in China's military encirclement of the region along with Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.
The report also mentioned the developments of the Chinese military in 2016, with estimated defense spending reaching more than 180 billion USD, higher than the 140 billion USD announced by Beijing.
The US Department of Defense assessed that China has recently made many advances in the fields of sea and space, typically the successful launch of a quantum satellite and the successful construction of the first domestic aircraft carrier./.
