China produces world's first electric passenger plane
China has produced the world's first electric passenger plane, according to Xinhua.
The RX1E has a wingspan of 14.5m, a maximum payload of 230kg, and can fly at an altitude of 3,000m. The charging time for this aircraft is 2 hours, enough to fly for 45 minutes to 1 hour, with a maximum speed of 160km/h.

The aircraft was designed by Shenyang Aerospace University and Liaoning Aviation Institute.
The first two RX1E aircraft were delivered to Liaoning Ruixiang Aviation Co., Ltd. on June 18.
The RX1E can be used for pilot training, tourism, meteorology and rescue operations. Each one sells for around 1 million yuan ($163,000).
Currently, the number of orders for this type of aircraft has reached 28./.
