China "beheads" Director of National Work Safety Administration
Xinhua News Agency quoted a source from the Central Organization Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on August 26 saying that Mr. Duong Dong Luong was removed from his position as Director of the National Administration of Work Safety.

Mr. Yang is currently a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee and is being investigated for corruption. Previously, on August 18, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CCDI) announced that it was investigating Mr. Yang for suspected "serious violations of discipline and law."
Before being appointed as Director of the National Administration of Work Safety, Mr. Yang served as Deputy Mayor of Tianjin from 2001 to May 2012.
