Fake police lieutenant colonel cheated his lover's father out of hundreds of millions of dong
Quy claimed to be a police lieutenant colonel, able to fix cases, buy cheap goods to get 360 million VND from his lover's father and many other people.
On April 28, Chau Thanh District Police (Tay Ninh) caught Vo Dinh Quy (45 years old) receiving 30 million VND to "take care" of a defendant receiving a light sentence.

According to the investigation, Quy lived as husband and wife with a woman in Chau Thanh district. To those around him, he always claimed to be a lieutenant colonel of the anti-drug police and had many acquaintances.
Quy was accused of defrauding his lover's father of 360 million VND from buying fertilizer; 200 million VND from a construction company...
Recently, hearing that a local man was being investigated for the act of Possessing explosives and was released on bail, Quy came to him and promised to help him get his case over with.
When he received money from the defendant, the police rushed in and arrested him.
