With the love for the profession and the concern of those working in the arts, the collective of actors of the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage has had many plays that have won high awards, affirming the position of folk heritage in the hearts of audiences at home and abroad.
During the autumn days of August, the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Heritage is actively rehearsing plays to prepare for the celebration of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on September 2.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc At - Director of the Center said: The Center has created many plays that reach the pinnacle, propagating Uncle Ho's thoughts and feelings for the people.
Especially since 1997, with the famous play "Famous people grow up from the lullabies of the Vi Dam folk songs" - recreating the process of forming the ideology and feelings of President Ho Chi Minh through the lullabies of the Vi Dam folk songs of his mother Hoang Thi Loan; the profound influence of the patriotic movements of the early 20th century and from the talented and indomitable celebrities of Nghe An has been loved by the public inside and outside the province.
The play "Hidden Corners of Life" won an excellent award at the Theatre Festival
National Professional held in Da Nang 2010
During 10 years of touring across the country, the Center has contributed to promoting Uncle Ho's thoughts and feelings to millions of audiences. By vividly dramatizing the stories of Uncle Ho's two visits to his hometown (1957 and 1961), the play "His Words, the Words of the Country" was warmly received and highly appreciated by the public. The play was broadcast live many times on VTV1, rebroadcast on VTV3, VTV4 and was organized by the Center to tour almost all provinces nationwide.
To prepare for the August 19 and September 2 anniversary programs, the Center's actors are currently developing two plays, "Uncle Ho with celebrities" and "Uncle Ho with the ethics of drivers". On the evening of August 19, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Center will perform a comprehensive art program, "Uncle Ho - He is the belief in certain victory" (directed by Ngoc At - Que Chung, scriptwriter: Vu Hai) to serve the people. This is a special 60-minute art program that combines folk songs and dances, singing Vi Phuong Vai with content praising the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, divided into 3 chapters (chapter 1: Uncle Ho in Viet Bac, chapter 2: As long as the country exists, he exists, chapter 3: Unity is our strength). The program has won an excellent award in the campaign to create, promote and perform art works on the theme of the Campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh".
It is known that since the beginning of the year, the Center has continued to develop many propaganda plays in the second phase with the aim of "following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh". Focusing on developing a number of programs to serve the province's important political tasks such as: Celebrating the 81st anniversary of the Party's founding; 121st anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday with the theme "Uncle, come and have fun with us"; the art program "Mother of Sen Village" performed at the inauguration ceremony of the Tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country...
To complete the important steps, strive to have Nghe folk songs recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of the world by 2015, the Center has reviewed the current situation of Vi Phuong Vai singing clubs, folk singing clubs in the province. The Center is currently building folk singing clubs at ward and commune levels. Continue to closely coordinate with Nghe An Television to promote the teaching of folk songs on television; bring folk songs to schools in and outside Vinh City, develop unions, associations...
In addition, the Center also organizes many performances to serve people inside and outside the province, especially in mountainous districts, remote areas. How to create a movement of "Everyone sings folk songs", "All people love folk songs" throughout the province, just like "Uncle Ho's advice before leaving": "That if you love your Fatherland, you will love folk songs even more passionately...".
Outstanding artist Hong Duong - who is always chosen to play the role of Uncle Ho, emotionally said: "Although we did not get to meet Uncle Ho directly, did not get to perform for him, did not get to sing to him the beloved folk songs of Nghe An, but as actors who live with each role of Uncle Ho's image through all revolutionary periods, young actors like us always take that as a driving force for artistic creation to serve the people, contributing to conveying Uncle Ho's thoughts and ethics through folk songs that easily touch people's hearts, bearing the unique identity of Ho Chi Minh's homeland". Those sincere thoughts are the luggage that helps the Center become an address to preserve the treasure trove of folk song heritage of Nghe An throughout the past time.
