During the 2015 - 2020 term, the Military Region Party Committee, together with the Party Committees and authorities of 6 provinces, led and directed the successful completion of the set military and defense goals, targets and tasks. The Congress elected the Party Executive Committee of the Military Region for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 19 comrades; the Party Standing Committee, consisting of 5 comrades. Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung, Political Commissar of the Military Region, was elected to continue holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of Military Region 4; Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh, Commander of the Military Region, was elected to continue holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Military Region 4.

The Congress elected the Inspection Committee of the Military Region Party Committee consisting of 9 comrades; elected Major General Nguyen Duc Hoa, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Region to hold the position of Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Military Region Party Committee; elected a delegation of 13 comrades and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 11th Military Party Congress.
