In less than 48 hours, Russia will hold the 2018 presidential election on March 18. This is an important political event for the Russian people to choose a President who will continue to lead the country's development for the next 6 years.

Before the G-hour, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on citizens across Russia to "enthusiastically" participate in the election, because each voter's vote plays an important role in determining the country's next development path.

“Voting for someone is the way for us to realize the freedom of election. Each vote is the personal decision of each voter. But if you refuse to exercise your right and duty, the final result will be decided, regardless of your views or opinions,” Putin called during a special meeting with voters.

Quoting the Russian Constitution – “the people are the only source of energy for the nation”, Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed: “Will Russia be brighter, will the future of future generations be happy? To do that, above all, depends on the strength of the nation, of each Russian citizen, and no one else”.

The current leader also emphasized that Russia will decide its own destiny, without anyone being able to interfere; it will act according to conscience, justice and love for the nation. “This is the Russian character that the whole world knows,” Mr. Putin declared.

The Russian President expressed confidence that all voters will care about the fate of the country, and asked all voters to go to the polls on March 18.
