Head of the Central Organizing Committee To Huy Rua visited Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh

This morning, January 13, Mr. To Huy Rua - Politburo member, Head of the Central Organizing Committee visited Da Nang Hospital to visit Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, who is being treated in the Oncology Department.

This is the first Central leader to visit Mr. Ba Thanh since he was brought back to Vietnam from the US for treatment. Earlier, at 8:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, former President, also visited Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh.

At 4:10 p.m. on January 13, a working delegation from the Ministry of Health led by Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien visited Mr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, who is being treated at Da Nang General Hospital.

However, Minister Tien said this was a personal visit so he refused to answer the press.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trieu, Head of the Central Health Care Department, said that throughout this afternoon, traditional medicine doctors treated Mr. Thanh with oriental medicine. After the treatment in the afternoon, Mr. Thanh's health improved well and there were no reactions after the treatment. Doctors will continue to monitor and treat Mr. Thanh with oriental medicine in the next few days.
