Head of V-League and First Division Organizing Committee resigns
Yesterday, at the Southern representative office, the Board of Directors of VPF Company held its 7th meeting for the 2011-2013 term. The only leader of VPF who did not attend yesterday's meeting was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF Doan Nguyen Duc, who was busy with a business trip abroad and could not return in time.
At this meeting, V-League Organizing Committee Head Tran Duy Ly and First Division Organizing Committee Head Nguyen Huu Bang expressed their wish to resign from participating in tournament management in the 2014 season, and the VPF Board of Directors approved this proposal.
Regarding the budget estimate for the 2014 football season, the VPF Board of Directors agreed 100% with the revenue and expenditure estimate for 2014 (spending 85.6 billion, of which 10 billion was transferred to VFF and 25 billion was to support the clubs; revenue was 120 billion).
In particular, up to this point, of the 120 billion expected to be collected in 2014, sponsors have committed to participating with 76 billion. The Board of Directors and the Sponsorship Board will continue to mobilize other sources of sponsorship in the coming time for the 2 National First Division and National Cup tournaments. Therefore, VPF affirms that VPF's current funding source is sufficient to ensure the organization of the 2014 football season.

Photo: VSI.According to the report of VPF General Director Pham Ngoc Vien, based on the preliminary revenue and expenditure estimates for 2013 of VPF, the total revenue was 89,085,709,000 VND, the total expenditure was 85,443,115,000 VND. Previously, the Board of Directors of VPF also unanimously approved the 2012 Financial and Audited Report conducted by KPMG Auditing Company.
The Board of Directors of VPF has shown a resolute and strong attitude towards members who do not fulfill their obligation to contribute equity capital as prescribed in the VPF Charter.
In the upcoming 2014 season, the VPF Board of Directors will discuss and agree with the VFF on requiring participating clubs to meet the following conditions: fully contribute capital; fully pay tournament fees; and demonstrate financial resources to ensure the season before conducting the draw to arrange the competition schedule.
The Board of Directors also 100% agreed with the plan to compete as many teams as there are left in the tournament, the participating clubs must commit to comply with the Tournament Charter and Professional Football Regulations, and assign the VPF General Director to submit to the Board of Directors the competition plan 30 days before the draw to schedule the competition.
Also at yesterday's meeting, the VPF Board of Directors agreed to hold the season closing ceremony and Gala 2013 on September 28, 2013 at Military Zone 7 Stadium (HCMC). The 2013 VPF Shareholders' Meeting will be held 2 weeks after the 7th VFF Congress ends. The J-League tour and survey planned by VPF leaders will be postponed to 2014.
