Nghe An College of Culture and Arts won an award at the Student Young Talent Festival

(Baonghean.vn) - From June 24 to 28 in Hue city, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2nd "Young Talent Festival for Students of Cultural, Artistic, Sports and Tourism Schools" in 2015 with the theme "Fatherland and Islands".

The Festival was attended by 1,250 contestants from 55 cultural, artistic, sports and tourism training establishments nationwide.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Manh Hung - Director of Training Department, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism delivered the closing speech of the contest.

This is a competition organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism every two years with the aim of motivating and encouraging students to actively study, practice, create, improve performance techniques, competition ability, professional skills, professional ethics and learn from experience in the fields of culture, arts, sports and tourism.

At the same time, the contest is also a place to discover young talents to have plans for training, fostering, and improving qualifications to supplement the source of teaching staff, artists, sports athletes, and skilled tourism human resources to serve the cause of developing culture, arts, sports and tourism of the country and is also an opportunity to honor the contributions of teachers and coaches in training and fostering young talents.

Assessing the quality of the competition at the closing ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Manh Hung - Director of the Department of Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism commented: “This is the largest competition ever in the cultural, artistic, sports and tourism training system nationwide. Training institutions have known how to take advantage of and promote the strengths of each school and each locality to build the competition program. Compared to previous festivals and the first youth talent competition, this competition is a great step forward in terms of organization and quality of units with participating students. The participating units have closely followed the theme set by the organizing committee, while flexibly and effectively applying the cultural quintessence of their localities in the competition performances.”

A total of 149 medals of various types were awarded to the contestants, including 60 gold, 31 silver and 58 bronze medals and 70 awards for teachers and coaches who guided the contestants to win high prizes at this competition.

School representatives received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At this competition, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts established a delegation of contestants to compete in the fields of Art, Tourism and Fine Arts with 35 members participating. At the end of the competition, teachers and students of the school were honored to win 1 gold medal, 03 silver medals and 02 bronze medals.

Lecturer Vu Thi Bich Hong - Vocal Music teacher received the Honor Award from the Organizing Committee for her achievements in guiding contestants to win Gold Medals at the Competition. On this occasion, Nghe An College of Culture and Arts was also honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recognition of the school's achievements in training and nurturing young talents in the fields of culture, arts and tourism.

The Young Talent Festival for students of cultural, artistic, sports and tourism schools ended successfully in the nostalgia and solidarity between contestants, staff and lecturers in the heart of the beautiful and dreamy ancient capital of Hue./.
