Nghe An College of Education: Towards a high quality training center

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 17, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited Nghe An Pedagogical College. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of a number of departments, agencies and Vinh City People's Committee.

Here, the Principal of the Pedagogical College reported on the work that the school has done in the past time. In particular, it has basically resolved the long-standing lawsuits and promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations. The school has focused on improving the quality of training, promoting training cooperation with universities and colleges in and outside the province to deploy new educational methods and skills, paying attention to developing facilities and training teaching staff. The school is currently training 26 majors with nearly 5,000 students, including Vietnamese language training for students from Laos.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh highly appreciated the efforts of the school in recent times, especially in training to improve the qualifications of lecturers, scientific research work and innovations in management and operation. She also frankly pointed out the shortcomings; clearly stated the direction in the coming time. First of all, it is necessary to review the staff and teachers, review the entire basic construction works to completely resolve the remaining problems. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the applicability of scientific research works, focus on training and joint training of socially necessary professions, not to train widely, innovate teaching methods and content, strengthen the relationship with departments and branches, and have a suitable roadmap and plan to become a high-quality educational training center of the province and the whole country.

Accordingly, from the 2014-2015 school year, BIDV Bank will cooperate with Nghe An Pedagogical College in communication, promotion, image building and jointly organize volunteer activities, social security and organize competitions for students. In addition, BIDV Bank will create conditions for the school's staff, teachers and students to participate in services such as salary payment services, student association cards, tuition collection services, and scholarship payments for students.

On this occasion, BIDV Bank also donated 60 million VND to the school's Student Support Fund. In the following school years, each year it will support 10 million VND; Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, presented a bouquet of flowers to congratulate the school on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
