Commune police chief died while fishing
Mr. Duong was found floating on the lake by locals. Before he died, the victim was carrying fishing gear.
On the afternoon of July 14, Mr. Ha Van Tan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Trieu Thanh Commune (Trieu Son District, Thanh Hoa) said that the police chief of this commune had just died in a fish pond in the area.

At around 10am the same day, a resident was walking around a fish pond in Trieu Thanh commune when he discovered the body of a man floating in the water.
After pulling the body ashore, authorities identified the victim as Mr. Le An Duong (32 years old), Chief of Police of Trieu Thanh commune.
According to Mr. Tan, before the accident, someone saw Mr. Duong carrying fishing gear. Although the police have not yet concluded the cause of Mr. Duong's death, according to the initial assessment of local people, because Mr. Duong did not know how to swim, the lake was very deep, while fishing, he fell into the lake and drowned.
Relatives said Mr. Duong was married and had two young children. Thanh Hoa Provincial Police are investigating the cause.
