According to Leung Chun-ying, if the protest must eventually be dispersed, the police will use the least amount of force and do not want students to be injured.

Besides, Mr. Leung Chun-ying said that "Occupy Central" is an "uncontrolled mass movement", not a "revolution".

Hong Kong's chief executive also said he understood the demands for democracy from "Occupy Central" protesters and young students, but they should not sacrifice or infringe on the rights of others.

Mr. Leung Chun-ying affirmed that he will not resign and said that the government has good intentions to dialogue with the Hong Kong Federation of Students (HKFS).

He expressed hope that the dialogue between HKFS and the government will lead to the general election of the Chief Executive in 2017, and the premise of the dialogue is the Basic Law as well as relevant Decisions of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China./.
