Over half a century of construction and development, Vinh University has always been determined to overcome difficulties and challenges, and successfully complete its tasks. As a school with a long tradition of training in pedagogy, a national key school with a large and highly qualified staff, with 944 staff, 642 lecturers, 25 people's teachers, excellent teachers, 60 professors, associate professors, 125 doctors, 328 masters, 4 senior lecturers and 133 main lecturers, it has demonstrated the stature and strength of the school. Every year, Vinh University trains more than 9,000 students with 13 doctoral majors, 28 master's majors and 44 university majors.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee presented a beautiful flower basket to congratulate teachers and students of Vinh University on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that Vinh University has achieved in the past time, hoping that in the coming time, the school needs to promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, high sense of responsibility, improve the quality of all levels, majors, training, fostering and improving the qualifications of staff and lecturers. On this occasion, Vinh University awarded the decision to appoint Dr. Mai Van Tu as Vice Rector of the school; 3 individuals were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President; 5 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Government and awarded the "Medal for the cause of education" to 15 individuals with many contributions to the cause of education and training.
