Universities must set up hotlines to receive negative feedback on enrollment.
Universities and colleges must set up hotlines to receive and handle information reflecting negative aspects in university and college admissions.
This is a content in the 2015 regular university and college admission inspection guide just issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The inspection content focuses on exam inspection (for schools that recruit students by exam or exam combined with admission) and admission inspection.
The Principal decides to establish an inspection team for all stages of the admission process. The members of the inspection team are department-level officials or higher. The inspection team operates independently from the Admissions Council and the committees.
During the inspection process, if any conditions are discovered that do not ensure safety and seriousness for the enrollment process, the inspection team or inspection officer will draw up a memorandum requesting the Council to remedy the situation; if there are signs of violations, the competent authority will be recommended to handle them according to the provisions of law.
At the end of the inspection, the Head of the inspection team will develop and submit to the director/principal to issue an inspection conclusion for the inspected subject.
For schools that enroll students under the autonomous enrollment project and organize entrance exams, the Ministry of Education and Training requires a report on the results of the exam invigilation and grading inspection no later than 05 days after the end of the exam marking inspection.
Report the results of the admission inspection no later than 10 days from the date of completion of the admission inspection; send the conclusion of the admission inspection to the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training as prescribed. In special situations, it is necessary to ask for instructions from the Ministry of Education and Training by the fastest means of communication.
For schools that do not organize entrance exams, report on the admission inspection work (in writing) no later than 10 days from the date of completion of the admission inspection and send the conclusion of the admission inspection work to the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.
