Vinh University of Technical Education opens the 2012-2013 school year
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, October 26, Vinh University of Technical Education held the opening ceremony of the 2012-2013 school year.
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ngoc Phi; Comrade Nguyen Tien Dung - Director General of the General Department of Vocational Training, representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, provincial departments and branches.

Vinh University of Technical Education is a public university, training vocational teachers, technology engineers, technicians with high-quality university and college degrees. The school is currently training 9 university-level majors; 12 college-level majors and 10 occupations; in the near future, it will open 3 new university training majors; cooperate in post-graduate training; expand the area to 19.2 hectares/50 hectares approved for planning. In the 2012-2013 school year, the school enrolled nearly 3,000 students in faculties and majors and is preparing to enroll in the university transfer program.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ngoc Phi praised the achievements of the School in the 2011-2012 school year. Currently, the School is being directed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to establish an investment project to build the School into a high-quality vocational teacher training facility, including 3 international majors, 5 ASEAN majors and 2 national majors. Therefore, in the coming time, the School needs to continue to innovate teaching methods, convert training to the credit system, vocational training according to modules and integrated teaching; link training with job creation. In addition, it is necessary to improve the quality of staff, lecturers and enhance international cooperation capacity, making the School constantly develop to be worthy of a large-scale university, becoming a key school.
On this occasion, the School honored 177 students with excellent achievements in studying, training and Youth Union activities in the 2011-2012 school year; and awarded scholarships to 25 poor students who overcame difficulties to study well.
