Graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Automobile and Tractor Industry, and with 8 years of experience as a "worker" at Nghe An Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company, teacher Pham Huu Truyen has both enough "academic" knowledge to become a good teacher and the experience to be a skilled worker.

Currently, with a PhD in mechanical engineering, Head of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Pham Huu Truyen not only performs the function of managing the faculty, but also directly teaches theory, practice, guides course projects, graduation projects in the field of automotive engineering technology and automotive technology. The training quality of the faculty meets market requirements and is highly appreciated by employers, each year about 500 students of the faculty graduate and find jobs in their field.

Mr. Le Van Bien, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Electronics, has a PhD degree, has worked in China for more than 11 years; 4 years working at 2 large corporations, Viettel Military Telecommunications Group and Huawei Group. Coming to Vinh University of Technology and Education, Mr. Bien has made contributions in building and optimizing training programs to suit the actual needs of society, meeting the needs of businesses, ensuring training linked to practice. In particular, with valuable practical experience, Mr. Bien has shared and helped colleagues improve their professional qualifications. Directly participating in many scientific research topics; promoting and expanding the connection between the school and departments, branches, sectors and businesses in the field of high-tech training, contributing to building the brand and reputation of the school both domestically and internationally.

Recognizing the role and position of the staff and lecturers, in recent years, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Vinh University of Technology and Education have focused on building and developing the staff to meet the requirements of the school's political tasks. In particular, special attention has been paid to improving the quality of highly qualified staff such as doctors and masters.

In the past 5 years (2010 - 2015), the school has sent 65 staff and lecturers to study for master's degrees; 38 people to study for doctoral degrees and currently has 18 postgraduate students. The school has increased the number of staff and lecturers to participate in specialized training and development courses with 510 people. In addition to domestic training, the school has expanded cooperation with countries and organizations such as the British Council, Germany, Australia, Japan, Korea, Czechoslovakia, Czech Republic... in training for doctoral and master's degrees in engineering and technology and improving pedagogical skills, vocational skills, and foreign languages ​​for staff and lecturers.

In addition, the school also encourages staff and lecturers to actively conduct scientific research and participate in scientific projects to improve their qualifications and teaching quality. In the past 5 years (2010 - 2015), the school has implemented 6 ministerial-level projects; 2 provincial-level projects; 58 grassroots-level projects; and has had articles published in scientific journals and conference proceedings at home and abroad. Regarding the quality of staff, in 2010, the whole school had only 6 PhDs and 136 Masters, now the school has 21 PhDs and 178 Masters, raising the proportion of staff and lecturers with postgraduate qualifications to 85%. In addition, the school's Board of Directors also focuses on attracting and recruiting talented people to work at the school. In the past 5 years, the school has recruited and accepted 53 new staff and lecturers; including 8 lecturers trained in international pedagogical skills, 1 lecturer trained in ASEAN regional level.

According to Dr. Hoang Thi Minh Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of the school: In order to build a team of cadres and lecturers who are both good at theoretical knowledge and proficient in practical skills, right from the beginning of the term, the Party Committee has led the development of a plan for the team of leaders and managers in the Board of Directors and departments; determined specific targets for training and fostering cadres; directed the profession to develop plans, send cadres to study to improve their qualifications, and at the same time organize training courses and professional training for lecturers. Along with that, promulgate mechanisms and policies to encourage and support cadres and teachers to study and improve their qualifications, especially those who are doing research, such as supporting 100% of tuition fees, reducing 80% of workload; supporting funding for defending the entrance outline... On average, each year, the school allocates about 1 billion VND for training and fostering to improve the professional qualifications of cadres. The school also has a policy to attract high-quality human resources such as PhDs, associate professors, and professors, with salaries of 100-200 million VND/person. In addition, the school annually provides financial support for faculties to organize training courses to improve the professional qualifications of lecturers.

Faced with the development requirements of the school in the new period, the task set for the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the school is to continue to build a team of cadres and lecturers with sufficient quantity, ensuring quality, and appropriate structure. This requires building a team of cadres, especially leaders and managers of the school and departments, with good qualities and ethics, dynamism, creativity, daring to think, daring to do and having a high sense of responsibility. Building a team of cadres and lecturers who directly teach with sufficient qualifications, capacity, qualities, ethics and passion for the profession, meeting the requirements of training and scientific research tasks in the school in particular and training to provide human resources to serve the industrialization and modernization of Nghe An province and the whole country in general.
