Vinh University organizes tree planting at Campus 2
(Baonghean.vn) -Implementing the association's work program and student movement for the 2012-2013 school year, on the morning of March 10, at campus 2 in Nghi Phong commune (Nghi Loc district, Nghe An), Vinh University's Student Association organized the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho".
More than 500 students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry and the Faculty of National Defense Education participated in the tree planting festival. This activity is held annually to improve the ecological environment and contribute to protecting the safety of community life.
Staff, lecturers and students of Vinh University Campus 2 participate in the 2013 tree planting festival
It is known that Campus 2 of Vinh University was built in 2007 on an area of 258 hectares. The Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries was the first faculty to be built on an area of 6 hectares, followed by the construction of the National Defense Education Center. Up to now, Campus 2 of Vinh University has completed the construction of lecture halls, technical infrastructure, laboratories, and over 1,600 staff, students and trainees of the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries have moved to the new campus.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the staff, lecturers and students planted nearly 600 trees, including nearly 100 Osaka trees (Japan), 450 dracontomelon trees and 50 green trees in the campus and in front of the school gate.
