Truong Dinh Thong: Dream of conquering the peak

(Baonghean) Smart, quick-witted, careful, thoughtful are what teacher Le Thi Lan said about her favorite student Truong Dinh Thong (12A4, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted).

In the recent National Excellent Student Competition, Thong excelled over "formidable" opponents nationwide and won first prize in Chemistry, entering the second round of the International Chemistry Olympiad team. When talking about his learning experience, Thong was very modest: "First of all, you must have a passion and love for Chemistry; you must always research, learn and form a habit of self-study, not be satisfied with what you have done but must always strive to improve..."

With that motto, Thong has trained himself to have a habit, for any Chemistry problem, after finding a way to solve it, Thong thinks of another way that is better and simpler. With that method and skill, Thong always gets the maximum score in the exams.

From primary to high school, Thong has always been an excellent student of the school, an excellent student of the city; an excellent student of the province in Chemistry in grade 9, first prize in National Chemistry... "Getting into the second round of the International Chemistry Olympiad team is my dream and honor. I will try to conquer the pinnacle of Chemistry, to put my name on the map of international excellent Chemistry students..." - Thong confided.
