As a vocational school located in the mountainous district of Con Cuong, the majority of whom are ethnic minorities, the recruitment work has encountered many difficulties. However, with the attention of provincial departments, branches and sectors as well as local authorities, and the solidarity of the school's staff, in recent years the school has made efforts to overcome difficulties, focusing on improving the quality of teaching and learning, focusing on solutions to innovate management and control of vocational training quality. Thanks to that, it has contributed to training skilled labor for the locality every year.
In the new school year 2014-2015, the school has completed the enrollment target according to the plan assigned by the province with 165 students trained in the fields of: electricity, welding, fashion sewing, veterinary. In this new school year, the school continues to strengthen training links, organize emulation movements, expand the scope and diversify training types to meet the learning needs of students.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dang Van Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs praised the efforts that the school has made in the past school years. At the same time, he hoped that in the 2014-2015 school year as well as in the following school years, Nghe An Ethnic Boarding Vocational College would need to develop a program and lesson plan that is realistic and appropriate to the profession; focus on innovating teaching, and at the same time coordinate with local authorities, families as well as companies and businesses in counseling, career guidance and job referrals for students after graduating from the school.
On this occasion, the school gave 20 gifts to students in difficult circumstances.
