Truong Thi May won the award 'Asia's most attractive vegetarian beauty'

Surpassing a series of other famous names across Asia such as Maggie Q, current Miss Universe Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa... Truong Thi May was officially voted by PETA (Petition for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Asia as the most attractive vegetarian beauty in Asia 2014.

This is the second consecutive year that Vietnam has been honored to have a representative receive this award. Previously, on June 20, 2013, singer Ho Quynh Huong was also honored. The vegetarian community in Vietnam has a clear tendency to increase and among them are famous artists who have influence on the community such as: Ho Quynh Huong, Truong Thi May, Vo Ha Tram, Ha Okio... contributing to the excitement of this culinary trend.

Topping the list of Asia’s most attractive vegetarian men is Chinese actor Wu Xiubo. In the movie “Finding Mr. Right”, Wu Xiubo co-starred with Tang Wei and became one of the most popular movies in China in 2013.

This voting campaign is held annually by PETA, the world's top stars are always on the nomination list. Through this voting campaign, PETA wants to send a message of animal protection, actively eating vegetarian in a way that is beneficial to health.

Truong Thi May is the runner-up of Miss Vietnam's ethnic groups. She represented Vietnam in the Miss Universe 2013 contest. She won the Golden Kite Award for Best Actress.
