Co Do High School (Nghia Dan) celebrates its 30th anniversary

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 23, Co Do High School (Nghia Dan) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its founding and receive the title of national standard high school.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, representatives of the Department's professional departments. On the side of the leaders of Nghia Dan district, there were comrades: Vi Van Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Nghia Dan District Party Committee, Le Hong Son - Chairman of the District People's Committee.

Co Do High School was established in 1885, the school was separated from the second branch of Nghia Dan High School, now Thai Hoa High School. Co Do High School is located in Nghia Hong commune, a difficult area of ​​Nghia Dan district. The school's establishment has created favorable conditions for children and people in the Northwest region of Nghia Dan.

The school's enrollment area is in 8 communes: Nghia Hong, Nghia Mai, Nghia Thinh, Nghia Hung, Nghia Minh, Nghia Yen, Nghia Lam, Nghia Son and some students in Nghia Quang commune. Most of the school's students are from remote areas, region 135 and especially difficult areas, of which ethnic minority students account for 30%; students from highland and especially difficult areas account for over 60%.

Since 1985, the school has trained nearly ten thousand students to graduate, over three thousand students to enter universities and colleges. In recent years, although the average input quality of grade 10 is only 20%, the weak rate is 80%, the graduation rate of the school is over 98%, the students passing the entrance exam to colleges and universities is over 50%. Especially in the 2010-2011 school year, 100% of the school's 12A1 class passed the entrance exam to universities (42/42 students); in the 2011-2012 school year, Nguyen Thanh Thong was the valedictorian of Hanoi Medical University with a score of 29.5 points, the highest in the province and ranked top in the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Vi Van Dinh - Secretary of Nghia Dan District Party Committee hoped that the School would continue to promote the tradition achieved over the past 30 years, continue to strive to fulfill its tasks well, especially determined to well implement Resolution No. 29 of the 8th Central Conference, 11th term on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training.

He also hopes that each teacher will actively innovate in teaching and learning methods; innovate in thinking and thinking; unite, be disciplined; be dynamic and creative; be unified under the direct leadership of the Party Cell to continuously develop the school, determined to fulfill the mission of cultivating people. For teachers, do well in the task of teaching people, teaching letters, and guiding students' careers; for students, do well in the task of cultivating morality, training talents, and determining their future careers to improve the quality of school education and maintain the title of National Standard School, becoming a bright spot in the education and training sector of Nghe An province.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the school's founding, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to the school and Mr. Tran Van Nghe - Principal of the school. The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 individuals who have made many contributions to the school in 30 years of construction and development.
