Yen Thanh 2 High School has 100% of staff and teachers with qualifications that meet or exceed the standards, of which 20% are provincial excellent teachers; 22% have master's degrees. In recent years, the quality of education at Yen Thanh 2 High School has had comprehensive and steady development. Every year, the percentage of grade 12 students passing the graduation exam is over 99%; provincial excellent students are 60-70% of the students taking the exam; students passing the university and college entrance exams is 65% or more. This school year alone, the school has over 1,700 students in 42 classes, at the end of the year, 52% of students are good and excellent; 17 grade 12 students were recognized as provincial excellent students, the number of grade 11 students winning the Physics Olympic prize is ranked first in the province and many students are examples of overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies.

From 2004 to present, Yen Thanh 2 High School has been awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President; Second Class; 2 Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister; in 2011, it was recognized as a National Standard; for 6 consecutive years, it has maintained its position as an excellent advanced school at the provincial level, and has been awarded the emulation flag by the Provincial People's Committee.
