Mr. Phan The Trung - Chairman of the Commune People's Committee said: Nam Thanh Commune is implementing the second land conversion project. In order to convert land according to plan, for nearly a month now, the commune has mobilized all people to do irrigation in the fields, and at the same time, contracted manpower and excavators to build embankments, land banks, and internal traffic, with a volume of more than 150 thousand m3land; build canal system. The part that the students helped with was digging and filling the 1m wide embankments and river banks in all the fields of the 9 hamlets. Before doing it, the commune coordinated with the school to assign each class to work on each embankment, spread evenly over all the fields. Before that, the commune mobilized people to plow the land along the potato rows so that the students would have less effort in digging the land. The commune established a steering committee, assigning committee members to be in charge of each area to guide the students in implementing the plan, supervising the correct techniques to ensure the correct process and progress. It is expected that in one day of helping the commune, the students of Yen Thanh 2 High School will dig and fill about 2 thousand m3land.
