Nghe An Ethnic Boarding Secondary School opens 2017-2018 school year
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 20, in Con Cuong district, Nghe An Ethnic Boarding Secondary School held a ceremony to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and the opening of the 2017-2018 school year.

As a vocational school located in the mountainous district of Con Cuong, an area with a large ethnic minority population, the school's enrollment work has encountered many difficulties in recent times.
With the attention of provincial departments, branches and sectors as well as local authorities, together with the solidarity of the school's staff and teachers, in recent years the school has overcome difficulties, focused on improving the quality of teaching and learning, and focused on solutions to innovate management and control of vocational training quality.

Up to now, Nghe An Ethnic Minority Vocational College is a national key school and was selected by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs as one of 23 colleges and intermediate schools nationwide to receive public investment in the period 2016 - 2020. Since then, it has contributed significantly to training a large source of skilled labor for localities every year.
In the 2016-2017 school year, the school trained more than 1,200 students, including 2 vocational training classes according to Decision 1956 and the non-agricultural model. In the new 2017-2018 school year, the school completed the enrollment target according to the province's plan with 405 ethnic minority students from villages in border communes of Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts such as Keng Du, Muong Tip, My Ly, Nam Can, Na Ngoi, Mai Son... trained in the fields of electricity, welding, fashion sewing, veterinary medicine.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Bang Toan - Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs praised the efforts that the school has achieved in the past school years. At the same time, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, he sent his congratulations to the teachers, hoping that they would promote their achievements and continuously strive to achieve even higher results in the field of vocational training.

The Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs also requested that in the 2017-2018 school year as well as in the following school years, schools need to develop realistic and professional curriculum and lesson plans;
Focus on innovating teaching, coordinating with local authorities, units and enterprises to train many generations of young people in ethnic minority areas, remote areas with solid skills, ethics, confidence, ambition and desire to work, meeting the increasing demands of the labor market in and outside the province.
