Nghi Loc District Police said they are investigating a case in which two groups of young men used guns to fight each other in Nghi Xuan Commune.
According to the investigation results, Mr. Phan Thanh Quang (born in 1973), residing in Loc My hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, opened a pawn shop at home. During the transaction, Le Xuan Trung (born in 1992), residing in hamlet 9, Phuc Tho commune, came to pawn an Iphone phone for 2.5 million VND. After pawning and handing over the money to the customer, the shop owner discovered that the phone was fake, so he went to Trung's house many times to ask to redeem the phone, but Trung did not have the money, so he asked to delay the payment.
On the night of July 19, Mr. Quang continued to go to the house, met Trung's parents to talk about debt but Trung was still not home. After that, Trung and Mr. Quang called, cursed, and challenged each other to fight. Seeing that, Mr. Quang called Phan Van Tang and Nguyen Van Lam (born in 1987), residing in Nghi Phu commune, to come down to "teach Trung a lesson". Upon receiving the news, Nguyen Van Lam called two other young men carrying knives, swords, and guns to go by car with Mr. Quang straight to Le Xuan Trung's house.
The murder weapon and the car were seized by the police.
At this time, Trung's group was waiting with weapons. When the car stopped in front of the house, Trung's group rushed in and broke the rear window of the car. Seeing this, Nguyen Van Lam and his accomplices pulled out guns and fired into the air before getting in the car and running away. After his accomplices retreated, Phan Thanh Quang was seriously injured by the group of young men and had to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Upon receiving news of the fight, Nghi Loc District Police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. At the scene, the police confiscated K59 shell casings, a car, and several other weapons. Currently, Nghi Loc District Police have summoned and arrested 7 people related to the case. The investigation agency is in the process of arresting 8 other people related to the case and confiscating the weapon used in the crime.
