Searching for 2 suspects in the murder of a male student who drove Grab
The Criminal Police Department of Hanoi Police and Bac Tu Liem District Police are asking people to provide information to assist in the investigation and capture of two suspects in the murder of a male student Grab driver.
The Criminal Police Department and the Bac Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) are actively searching for the motorbike of the victim Nguyen Cao S, from Thanh Hoa province, who worked as a "technology motorbike taxi", and was murdered on the evening of August 26 at an empty lot bordering Thuy Phuong Ward and Co Nhue 2 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

Initial information determined that at around 8:30 p.m. on September 26, Mr. Nguyen Cao S, (born in 2001), in Vinh Yen commune, Vinh Loc district, Thanh Hoa, drove a Yamaha Exciter motorbike, blue-silver-black, license plate 36B5-443.41, carrying 2 young men, who were passengers who were waved across the street and did not book through the Grab application, from My Dinh bus station to Thuy Phuong ward.
When Mr. S drove the two subjects to Tan Phong residential area, Thuy Phuong ward, the subject used a weapon to stab him to death and stole his motorbike and a black iPhone 7 Plus.
After committing the crime, the suspects fled. To assist in the investigation, the Criminal Police Department and the Bac Tu Liem District Police announced the search for two young men who are suspects in the murder and robbery case mentioned above.
Among them, a young man about 23-30 years old, average build, about 1m65-1m70 tall, wearing dark shorts, a black short-sleeved T-shirt with a collar and bright colored patterns, short hair, and flip flops.
The other young man was about 23-30 years old, thin, about 1m60 - 1m65 tall, had a tattoo on his left arm, was wearing white shorts, a black short-sleeved T-shirt, short hair, and black slippers with rhinestones.
The police announced that they are looking for a blue Yamaha motorbike, license plate number: 36B5-443.41, engine number: G3D4E363338, frame number: RLCUG0610GY346223; and a black iPhone 7 Plus, which are the victim's property.
People who discover or know information about the two subjects and the above assets, please contact the Criminal Police Department of Hanoi Police and Bac Tu Liem District Police to provide information to serve the investigation and capture of the perpetrators of the murder and robbery (phone number of comrade Hoang The Hien, Deputy Head of Team 9, Criminal Police Department of Hanoi City Police: 0983.304.879; comrade Nguyen Hoang Minh Ha, Deputy Head of Criminal Police Department of Bac Tu Liem District Police: 0972.233.087).
Regarding this issue, in the announcement released on the afternoon of September 29, Grab confirmed that the young man was a GrabBike driver partner, named Nguyen Cao S, and that the unit would actively coordinate with the authorities to support the investigation of the case.
“Grab will send a representative to visit and partially support Mr. S's family with funeral expenses to help them overcome this difficult period,” Grab's announcement stated.
In addition, Grab also did not provide further information about the driver's activities through the application before the time of death, and the level of support for the driver's family was not disclosed by this ride-hailing application.
