According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, after many days of monitoring, at around 2:00 a.m. on November 26, while on patrol, Bu Dop District Police coordinated with Thien Hung Commune Police to discover on the side of DT759B road in Village 4, Thien Hung Commune, a silver Innova car with license plate 93A-11565 with an absent owner, showing signs of suspicion.
Therefore, after checking, the car was found to have some tools suspected of stealing dogs. Continuing to search, the forces suddenly discovered about 50m from the car, 9 dogs with a total weight of more than 140 kg scattered on the roadside or in the rubber garden.
When discovered, the dogs were dead or in very poor health. In addition, the dogs had their legs tied and their mouths bound with tape.

Suspecting that the vehicle was evidence in a dog theft case, the police force made a record to temporarily detain the vehicle and all evidence to investigate and handle according to regulations.
“Up to now, investigators have identified 3 dogs belonging to 2 owners, the remaining dogs are still being verified. Initially, investigators have also identified the dog thieves as coming from Bu Nho commune, Phu Rieng district, Binh Phuoc province, so they are coordinating with police from other localities to urgently search for the subjects to handle according to the provisions of the law.
Through the incident, the District Police also announced that whoever owns the remaining stolen dogs should come to the District Police Criminal Police Team to provide information for help as well as to serve the investigation" - said the leader of Bu Dop District Police.
“Recently, according to information reported by local people, there have been continuous dog thefts in the area, the time of the thieves usually takes place from 11pm to 4am the next morning. Grasping the information, Bu Dop District Police have dispatched forces to help restore a peaceful life to the people,” said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan.
