As reported, on August 11, 2016, Mr. Caracciolo David John went to Phuong's restaurant in Ben Nghe Ward (District 1) for dinner. While paying, the restaurant staff asked him to enter his password several times because his credit card was malfunctioning; after paying, they did not give him any bill or receipt. When he returned to Australia and received a bank statement, he learned that the amount deducted on the evening of August 11 was up to 39,429 Australian dollars (nearly 700 million VND). The entire amount was transferred to the account of Nightfall Restaurant Company Limited (on Nguyen Sieu Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), trading name: NIGHTFALL RESTAURANT COMPANY LIMITED at 5E Nguyen Sieu, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1... Afterwards, Mr. Caracciolo David John authorized a person in Vietnam to file a complaint with the authorities.

Through investigation, District 1 Police determined that Nightfall Restaurant LLC was established in late 2012, with Mr. Tran Tuan Minh (living in Ben Tre) as the legal representative. The restaurant closed in early September 2016 and was transferred to another person to open a bar.

Working with the investigation agency, Mr. Minh stated that his sister, Tran Thi Hong Phuong, asked him to stand in his name, and all restaurant business activities were managed and organized by Phuong. Local verification showed that Phuong had left her place of residence.

Therefore, if anyone sees Phuong, please report to investigator Tran Dinh Huy, District 1 Police, via phone number 0989022060.
