Russian TV launches program praising Mr. Putin

The hour-long program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" has just aired its first episode on Russian television.

"Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" is broadcast on state television channel Rossiya 1 every Sunday evening. Mr.Vladimir Soloviev, a famous journalist, author of documentaries and books about Putin, is the host, according toTelegraph.

The first episode of the show on September 2 opened with images of the Russian president climbing mountains on vacation in Siberia, meeting schoolchildren and paying his respects to a famous singer who recently died.

"Putin doesn't just love children, he loves people in general. He's a very compassionate person," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, a guest on the show.

The program said the Russian leader had traveled more than 8,000 kilometers across Russia in the past week and explained his fitness with a segment about his Siberian mountain climbing, daily swimming and weight training sessions.
