Media to prevent illegal immigration to Australia
(Baonghean.vn) - NOn January 20, in Cua Lo Town and Nghi Loc District, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An Province coordinated with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to organize community communication on preventing illegal migration by boat from Vietnam to Australia. Attending were Mr. DAVIDEDWARDS, First Secretary, Australian Embassy in Vietnam, representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command, local authorities of Cua Lo Town and Nghi Loc District, and people from Nghi Tan Ward, Cua Lo Town and Nghi Xuan, Nghi Loc District.

According to the assessment of the International Organization for Migration, Nghe An is one of the three provinces with people migrating to Australia, of which Nghi Tan Ward (Cua Lo Town) and Nghi Xuan Commune, Nghi Loc District account for the largest number. Through visual propaganda, through slogan posters, photo reports, multiple choice questions and drama sketches, to equip people with awareness of safe migration, preventing illegal migration from Vietnam to Australia by boat. Through community propaganda, mobilize people to actively participate in coordination, detection and handling of cases of illegal immigration to Australia in the locality.
