The photos of the Vietnam War mainly depict the heroic resistance period of the South; the division of Truong Son to save the country; the North's steadfast resistance against the escalation of the war by the American Empire; the Spring Offensive and Uprising in 1975 and the joy of victory of our army and people in the first years of the country's peaceful reunification.

In particular, the exhibition also displays works that have won the Ho Chi Minh Award such as: “Splitting Truong Son to save the country” by Minh Truong; “From the Thunder God to the Buffalo Cart” by Van Bao; “Mother and Son on the Day of Meeting” by Lam Hong Long…

Speaking at the opening ceremony, General Director of Vietnam News Agency Nguyen Duc Loi emphasized: “During the war to liberate the country, more than 260 reporters, editors, technicians, including over 40 photographers of Vietnam News Agency heroically sacrificed on the battlefields, but the works they left behind are invaluable. They were truly soldier journalists, people who wrote the country's history through lenses. The photos introduced at this exhibition are only a very small number in the huge photo archive of Vietnam News Agency on the subject of war and revolution.”

Within the framework of the exhibition, there was also an exchange with historical witnesses, Mr. Vu Dang Toan and Mr. Bui Quang Than, about the moments when the commanders of tanks 390 and 843 crashed the main gate and entered to plant the flag on the roof of the Independence Palace. In addition, viewers also heard veteran journalist Dinh Quang Thanh (Vietnam News Agency) recount the process of following the troops from Hue, participating in the Ho Chi Minh campaign, and with the soldiers of the 304th division and the 203rd tank brigade entering the Independence Palace to take photos recording the historical mark of the country...

The photo exhibition runs until April 26.
