(Baonghean.vn)- This is a notable content stipulated in Article 162 of the 2015 Penal Code, effective from July 1, 2016.

Accordingly, anyone who, for personal gain or other personal motives, commits one of the following acts, causing a laid-off person, a dismissed person or their family to fall into difficulty or leading to a strike, shall be subject to a fine of 10 to 100 million VND, non-custodial reform for up to 01 year or imprisonment from 03 months to 01 year:

- Illegal dismissal of employees.

- Making illegal decisions to dismiss civil servants and public employees.

- Coercing or threatening to force workers, civil servants, and public employees to quit their jobs.

Fine from 100 to 200 million VND or imprisonment from 01 to 03 years if committing a crime in one of the following cases:

- For 02 people or more.

- For women who know they are pregnant.

- For people who are raising children under 12 months old.

- Make people who are forced to quit their jobs or fired commit suicide.

At the same time, the offender may also be banned from holding certain positions from 01 to 05 years.

Thus, compared with Article 128 of the 1999 Penal Code, the content of Article 162 of the 2015 Penal Code is regulated in more detail and clearly.
