"All alone" - have to herd cows!
(NAO)With no wife, no children, no relatives, no land to call his own, the neighbors took pity on him and hired him to herd cows. And the job of herding cows to make a living followed him throughout his life…
He is Pham Van Ba (63 years old), residing in Hamlet 2, Hung Lam Commune (Hung Nguyen District - Nghe An).Ba's mother was a youth volunteer during the anti-French resistance. He was born into a poor farming family with three brothers: the eldest brother, Pham Tran, grew up and followed the call of the Fatherland and went to fight, the second brother got sick and died at the age of 20.
Then many people encouraged and comforted him to forget his sorrow. At the same time, the People's Committee of Hung Lam commune helped and built a small house in the village for him to have a place to stay.
The days of struggling with the pain of losing a loved one also coincided with his old age, and his family situation, so the relationship with his wife and children was considered "cut off". Because he had no house (just a hut with a bed 1.2m wide), no garden, not even an inch of land to set up a stake! Many people in the village felt sorry for the old man, who had no children and no way to make a living, so they did a "good deed" by hiring him to herd cows. And the job of herding cows for hire has been with him since 1988 until now. He has been herding cows for hire from one house to another. According to the villagers' rough calculations, he has herded nearly 100 cows for about 70 households, and his legs have traveled about 200,000 km over the past 20 years.
I wonder, when the weather changes and he gets sick, where can he rely on? As a relative of a martyr (his brother is martyr Pham Tran), he has no benefits, and how long will he have to live like this?
I love you, I just secretly hope everyone will help you in the rest of your life….
Address:Mr. Pham Van Ba, Hamlet 2, Hung Lam Commune, Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province.
