Proud of the soldier's uniform
Born into a family with a tradition of artistic activities, after finishing high school, Pham Anh Tuan passed the entrance exam to the Vocal Music class - Nghe An College of Culture and Arts.
In March 1996, after graduating, he decided to join the ranks of those in military uniform working in the field of culture and arts: Cultural Propaganda Team - Provincial Border Guard.
During his years in the army, with his constant efforts and training, the guidance of his seniors, and the encouragement and sharing of his friends, colleagues, and teammates, Anh Tuan has "fueled" his steady progress in his artistic activities.
To be able to perform confidently and successfully, Anh Tuan constantly practices and learns to improve his professional skills. Regularly, winter as well as summer, every morning when he wakes up, the whole BĐBP collective housing area C awakens to the familiar sound of his vocal practice.
When the team is not performing, he diligently practices to perform the songs better and more emotionally. Anh Tuan's voice is strong and soaring. The songs he is most fond of and successfully performs are revolutionary songs, songs about soldiers, songs with the sound of the mountains.
He is especially "addicted" to the melodies of traditional songs written about the Border Guard. He confided: After each performance, he feels more and more proud of the uniform he is wearing.
Nearly 15 years have passed since Anh Tuan joined the team, donning the green uniform of a soldier, his footsteps and those of his comrades have left their mark throughout the border posts and stations, to the most remote and isolated villages of the province: Tham Hin, Phu Kha, Na Ngoi, Nam Khien, Keng Du, Na Loi, My Ly (Ky Son district); Nhon Mai, Pha Lom, Huoi Son (Tuong Duong district), Huoi Moi, Huoi Khoi, Nam Tot (Que Phong district)... There were many performances where the "flowers" given to the actors were just pineapples, cassava, sugarcane... from the local people, but it was that sincere and simple affection that left in him unforgettable memories.
These days, Anh Tuan and his fellow artists are practicing a new program: "Border Love Songs" to bring songs and dances to the villagers and soldiers on the front lines of the Fatherland.
