Lotus seed milk is cool and nutritious, can be used as a drink for breakfast and snacks, especially good for women, the elderly and children.
Ingredients for making lotus seed milk:150g fresh lotus seeds; 50g sugar; 100ml condensed milk;
You can use young lotus seeds to give the milk a naturally sweet taste. |
How to make lotus seed milk:
- Peel fresh lotus seeds, remove black membrane and lotus heart.
- Put lotus seeds in 1.5 liters of water and simmer until soft.
- Wait for it to cool, put both the lotus seeds and lotus water into a blender and puree, filter through a sieve to get the water, and discard the lotus pulp.
- Pour lotus water back into the pot, add sugar and condensed milk, bring to a gentle boil again, skim off all foam.
- Wait for the lotus seed milk to cool, put it in a bottle and drink it cold.
