Commander of Military Region 4 visits and works at Na Ngoi Border Guard Station

(Baonghean.vn) -During a working trip to inspect and grasp the situation on the border of Nghe An province, on the afternoon of March 18, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong - Commander of Military Region 4 and the working delegation of the Military Region visited and worked at Na Ngoi Border Post (Ky Son district), under the Command of the Border Guard of Nghe An province.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong visited and encouraged officers and soldiers of Na Ngoi Border Guard Station.

Na Ngoi Border Guard Station is responsible for managing 15km of border in Ky Son district, Nghe An province. With the complex nature of the area, the phenomenon of opium poppy cultivation in the area still occurs, the number of weapons among the people is still large, the phenomenon of free migration and illegal border crossing in the area still occurs. In 2013, Na Ngoi Border Guard Station closely coordinated with the forces on duty in the area, well organized the propaganda and mobilization of the people to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, not to freely and illegally migrate. Organized training, patrols, strictly controlled, and well handled complicated cases in the area. During the year, the Station coordinated with the forces to detect 7 drug trafficking cases and 2 human trafficking cases.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong highly appreciated the achievements of the officers and soldiers of Na Ngoi Border Guard Station, and noted that in the coming time, Na Ngoi Border Guard Station needs to closely coordinate with other forces, grasp the local situation, especially officers and soldiers of Economic-Military Group 4 to organize propaganda and mobilize people to continue to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization to strictly implement the provisions of the law, actively develop the economy and society. In particular, focus on mobilizing people to strictly comply with the regulations on not illegally migrating freely, protecting border security well, contributing to maintaining the tradition of a heroic unit in the renovation period of Nghe An Border Guard force.
