At the same time, the ward police received a report from Mr. NVT (born in 2004), residing in Nghi Loc commune, Nghe An province, about the theft of an iPhone 12 mobile phone, left in the trunk of a motorbike while swimming in the sea.

From the reported information and suspicious signs at the scene, the ward police quickly verified and investigated the case. Through screening and using professional measures, Cua Lo ward police identified Nguyen Van Hieu (born in 1995), residing in Muong Ham commune, Nghe An province, with many suspicious signs related to the behavior.theft of property
On the morning of July 17, 2025, Cua Lo Ward Police deployed forces to arrest Nguyen Van Hieu for theft of property. The seized evidence included 04 mobile phones of various types: iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 14..., with a total value of about 65 million VND.
Initially, Hieu confessed that he took advantage of tourists' carelessness and lack of vigilance to commit four thefts of mobile phones at Cua Lo beach and sold them for personal use.
